We are heavily dependent on our support staff to achieve this goal and a strong team effort has always been a factor in our success. The net result of this practice philosophy has been good permanent employment for dedicated people serving the livestock and companion animal population in our area.

  • Veterinary technicians must be Certified or have a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology and sufficient mathematical skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses. They must be able to successfully restrain animals, complete clinical laboratory tests, use multiple radiology techniques, administer and monitor animals under anesthesia, assist in surgery, and perform dental procedures.

  • The responsibilities of Veterinary Technician will be to assist the doctors and certified veterinary technicians. Technicians must have previous veterinary experience. Technicians support receptionists by answering phone calls, admitting patients, setting up appointments and receiving payments. They support technicians by checking in patients, positioning patients for and process radiographs, providing nursing and comfort care, and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic care

    Technicians must build positive, professional relationships with clients and staff members. Technicians must pursue significant on-the-job training.

  • Primarily, this staff member is responsible to assist in theproper care of boarded animals, including feeding, bathing, record keeping andthe cleanliness of cages, runs, rooms and landscaping. Work requires liftingand carrying animals and food bags of approximately 60 lbs. Additionally staffmembers are required to walk or stand for extended periods of time andfrequently work in a bent position.

  • The primary responsibilities of the veterinarian are to gather an extensive history, perform a thorough and complete physical examination, obtain a diagnosis based off appropriate diagnostic testing, recommend a therapeutic plan and provide a reasonable prognosis.

    In addition, the veterinarian shall work with the rest of the staff to be an ambassador of Redmond Veterinary Clinic.

Mentoring is a core value of Redmond Veterinary Clinic and will be passionately pursued. Many students have been afforded job opportunities at Redmond Veterinary Clinic following their time in a Mentoring Program. The program is designed to provide students insight to the role of the veterinarian in the private practice. Redmond Veterinary Clinic, a Professional Corporation offers a broad base of Veterinary services to our patrons in Central Oregon. Our goal is to provide the best quality of service possible, using the most modern equipment and methods available to our profession.

  • Students usually are interested in gaining exposure to veterinary medicine as a career path. Students are required to be in at least 6th grade.

The following services are provided: Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Clinical Pathology, Critical /Intensive Care, Dentistry, Dermatology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Nutrition, Digital Radiology, Obstetrics/Reproductive Care, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pet Behavior, Well Animal Care, Flexible and Rigid Endoscopy, Digital Ultrasonography, and Laparoscopic Spays.
